Many people say that they have put on weight during the past year, often due to lockdown. It may be that now you are ready to get back to where you need to be but dread the thought of starting a diet. It is not a great idea for our bodies to be subjected to strict yo-yo diets as this can have a huge impact on our blood sugars and hormones. These affect a lot of the other processes in our bodies so you may find that you start to experience other issues. Instead of thinking of it as a diet you need to try and find a new normal when it comes to food. Often when you start to change your diet to eat more natural foods, less sugar and less processed meals you will find that not only do you lose weight naturally but you also have more energy and a better immune system. If you see it as a diet, you will probably see it as there is an end date in sight but when you transform your eating habits, it should be a long term change. For this reason it needs to be sustainable. There are hundreds of different diets out there, but not everyone is suited to all so you need to find the one that works for you.
