Christmas day is not too far ahead and you may want to start preparing before the day itself to ensure that it is as stress free as possible. Some preparation may have to be done on the day but peeling the veg and stuffing the turkey can all be done the day before. If you are preparing vegetables then you may need to put them in water overnight. When making roast potatoes you can even part cook them the day before to speed up the cooking process. Also cooking cold potatoes in hot fat is a great way to get them lovely and crispy.

You may want to part cook your other vegetables but do your research first to find out which ones should and shouldn’t be cooked in advance. If you are doing cauliflower cheese you may decide to cook the cauliflower so you only have to cover it with cheese sauce and put it back in the oven for a bit.

You may want to cook any meat you are having early so that you can free up space in your oven. Once you have cooked the meat, cover it with foil and it will then stay warm for a good few hours.
